This month’s ArtWanted! feature sees the return of a familiar face! Those in the know might immediately recognize Alexandr Melentiev's signature style upon looking at the incredibly detailed floating cityscape pictured above. The Russian 3D generalist has kept busy these last two years, perfecting his craft, one world at a time.

Check out our interview to find out, how deep the rabbit hole goes and learn more about Alexandr’s glorious return to CGI after a prolonged hiatus.

In these difficult times, flexible solutions are necessary.

Home office has become one of these solutions at the moment. However, not everyone has the same type of equipment at home as at work, so that rendering can be really time-consuming this way or not even possible at all.

That's why we at RebusFarm want to help by offering 20% free RenderPoints on top of all purchases until May 15th, 2020.

Click here to make your purchases via our Covid-19 Help page and let us support you with some extra RenderPoints.

Art Wanted! Featuring Arnaud Imobersteg

Monday, March 16th, 2020 by Julian Karsunky

Arnaud Imobersteg asian city

The best works of Science Fiction hold up a mirror to present day society. To condense this effect into a single image, achieved only through means of visual story-telling, is an ambitious task. Swiss archviz artist Arnaud Imobersteg did not shy away from the challenge, and created ‘Neo Kowloon’, a bustling cyberpunk city, in which the poor retreat to the rooftops to escape the overcrowded neon cityscape. His dystopian reimagining of the infamous Kowloon Walled City settlement of 1980s Hong Kong earned him a spot as finalist in the Cyberpunk #KB3Dcontest.

In our interview, Arnaud recalls how his understanding of archviz underwent a fundamental change, cyberpunk inspirations and walking the fine line between details and overstimulation.

A concentrated effort by industry and community players, GTAPR showcases nine talented visualization artists from all over the world, with exclusive scenes offered online as a bonus for aspiring learners.

To celebrate the release of his book and our newfound partnership, we sat down with Bogdan to discuss his professional history as an artist, transitioning into authorship and future plans for GTAPR.
